Composition : "Piano Trio in A major, Op. posth."

4. Presto (26:23)
They still have not found definitive evidence
to back up the claim that this was written by the young Brahms,
and the surviving manuscript from Bonn isn't in Brahms' handwriting.
But there are circumstantial and stylistic suggestions that
this is likely one of his earlier works
which he failed to burn off in his habitual bonfires.
It is believed to be a work
around the same time frame of his Piano Trio in B of Op. 8.
For whatever it's worth, it sounds convincingly Brahmsian to my ears.
If it should turn out to be by an imposter,
I guess we would have to congratulate him or her for a job well-done.
